THE UNIVERSAL ZULU NATION MULTI-CULTURAL CENTER OF THE UNIVERSE

Peace and blissings to all unversal beings on this so called planet earth

THE UNIVERSAL ZULU NATION MULTI-CULTURAL CENTER OF THE UNIVERSE
This center will serve as a safe haven for community youth as well as elders. This center will provide neighborhood youth a place to learn life skills and educational studies and above all be safe. In this time of after school programs being cut from budgets in schools our youth are left with nothing to do and no where to go.
We will offer many workshops to help assist our youth to be ready for life after High School. These workshops will include life skills (how to write a resume, how to handle job interviews, how to dress for job interviews). We will have guest speakers to conduct these workshops and to help prepare the children. Some workshops can be overseen by community elders many of which are retired professionals. This gives them a sense of worth and something to occupy themselves, and it also helps bridge so-called generation gaps as both the elders and the youth learn more about each other.
In this time where obesity is a major issue in our communities we will conduct classes and workshops nutrition and healthier living. We will also have a gym. The gym will provide a clean safe environment for our children to play, exercise, and learn the spirit of competition through organized sports. The gym will also be used for self defense classes. We would also have an exercise room for weight training, calisthenics, and aerobics.
We will also include a recording studio, photography studio, and other arts and craft studios/workshops (drawing, sculpting, and painting). This will give the members of the center hands on experience with professionals in their respective fields. All these programs are important to the development of the creative skills in our youth. A lot of these programs are no longer available in schools.
We will also provide child care services. There are many young mothers in our community that want to work or go to school but they can’t because of the lack of safe places to provide child care. The elders can also be an important part of child care.
We will also have a library which will provide our youth with a place to do their homework as well as read up on things that they will not learn in school.

Myths and Misconceptions of the Universal Zulu Nation

Myths and Misconceptions of the Universal Zulu Nation

1. Zulu Nation is a gang.

No.
UZN was started in 1973 by Afrika Bambaataa who at the time was a gang leader. After realizing that it would benefit the community more if the gangs unified to better the community and to better each other, Zulu was formed. Also, Zulu started gathering information from other religions and historical sources to give the gang members a chance to better themselves so the violence would end. News spread around all of the tri-state area and eventually, the world.

2. Zulu is a religion/cult.

No. We gather positive infomation from all sources weather religious or historical. We deal with truth and fact. It doesn't matter what name you choose to call The Supreme Force. A religion suggest a belief structure. We do not have a belief structure. ALL walks of life are a part of Zulu Nation. ALL religions are a part of Zulu Nation. If its true to you and its positive, no problem.

3. Zulu is only a "hip hop thing".

Not completely true. We use Hip Hop as a means to get across the positive message of "Knowledge, wisdom, overstanding, freedom, justice, equality, peace, love, unity and having fun." UZN is more about bettering one self and overstanding the people and enviroment around oneself.

4. Zulu is a "black" thing.

No! UZN is for all people of any color, age, culture or gender. As long as  you have a open mind and are really ready to better oneself. We have to start to understand or overstand each other a lot more so that we can break the stereotypes that we are "trained" to know from generation to generation. Look at the name of this organization. The key word is "Universal". Why would we want to limit peace and unity to just one race or for that matter, even humanity?

5. I have to do something Hip Hop (Break, DJ, Rap, Graph) in order to be a
 Zulu.

No. UZN has doctors, lawyers, activists, pilots, construction workers, actors, probation officers, etc. ALL walks of life. You see everyone has their only kind of knowledge to bring to others. No one man or woman knows everything. When you get all this collective knowledge together under one roof, its very enlightning. That's what Zulu does. It bring people of different backgrounds together under POSITIVITY. We are all teachers in life whether a person overstands it or not. Zulu members overstands that they are teachers so they do just that. We share our knowledge of what we learn in life and/or Zulu with others so their can be a balance within the other person life so that an understanding can be achieved and from that peace can be obtained.

6. So all a person has to do is join, its that easy?

Yes and no. You see Zulu is for everyone but not everyone is for Zulu. There is hard work involved. From the application process to maintaining a voice in the community, from doing charity work to LOTS of lessons studying, Its not a free ride. But if a person wants to learn more, or be a positive force in their community, then it shouldn't be difficult at all.

These are just some of the questions we as Zulus encounter on a day to  day basis. This is one way we can learn to deal with some of the  negativity and turn it to postive.

WHAT IS SUCCESS? by Zulu Akhi MK-1

To be successful we must first understand that we are already great. No matter what you think of yourself right now, know that you are great. You have been born into this world in the image of God. God is great, God is the greatest and God is embedded in each and every one of you. The Key to true success is unlocking that greatness God has graced you with.

Although we are all made in the image of God the vast majority of us measures success in a different way. Some measure it by how much money or material goods we possess. Others measure it by their career choices.

True success itself comes in many forms. It is measured by the state of our emotional, spiritual and physical well-being. It can be found in some families, through the constant pursuit for truth and through the unity and empowerment of individuals, communities and all of humanity.

How we utilize the material world is a very important key factor in achieving True Success. Whatever role we play in society it is important to use that position we hold to help one another grow.

People you make contact with may only come in your life for a minute, a day, a week, a year and some for eternity. Through our journey in life it is important that we interact and do our best to be a positive influence and share the knowledge we have gained in our own personal journey to see that those individuals we meet are on the road to true success.

Society has prevented us by reaching our full capacity of success by attacking the one thing that our success is based on, that is our values. This sinister agenda will ultimately hinder our ability to reach true success and share with those the fruits of our enlightenment.

Our values are under constant attack though our main forms of communication; being television, magazines, the internet and music. We don’t have to go out to look for it, the enemy is already in our home subliminally and sub consciously re-programming our minds to ultimately replace your values for fictitious desires. Our common enemy is force feeding self destruction and teaching us to thrive on it.

Television sitcoms like desperate housewives, or sex in the city place their values on deadly sins such as gossip, jealousy, envy and lust. I cant recall the last time I watch a sitcom that depicts a healthy family unit. The news does nothing but pump fear into us, so that governments can introduce new policy’s for our ‘well being’. The sale of bottled water is prime example how society has bought into the fear industries have created. Access to clean water is our God given right. And yet we are sold back what God has graciously provided for us all. If we do not take a pro-active approach in fighting for our God given rights we are allowing our youth to be born into a world where injustice and an arrested development is the norm and true success a mere myth.

To allow those who wish to distort the greatness bestowed upon is to give up our pursuit for success and transform us into slaves. The ones that are most affected by this are our youth. This is the same youth that will one day be our future……..a future of slaves. Think about it!

In conclusion I would like to share with you a quote I believe sums up true success.

‘At some stage in an individuals life, most people come to realize that inner peace and soul-deep satisfaction come not from fame and fortune, but having lived a life based on integrity and noble character.’ Dr. Katherine T. Smith and Dr. L. Murphy Smith. January 2009.

ZULU INFINITY LESSONS

LETTER FROM AFRIKA BAMBAATAA TO UZN MEMBERS

and All Humans All Over The Great Planet Earth (Gaia,Qi,Terra,Urantia,Geb)

Peace and Love to All of Our Family of Warriors, Thinkers and Leaders:

I hope this New Year finds all of you healthy and bliss as you begin your journey into this next year. I wanted to take a moment to let you all know about an exciting development that I have been working on for the past several months.

Over the years, the International Hip Hop community and our strong family of Universal Zulu Nation warriors, thinkers and leaders have been on the forefront of helping to spread Peace, Culture and Freedom of expression throughout the world. But still, more must be done to break down the barriers that still exist and we must constantly seek new ways to make that happen.

Today, I am excited to share with you a new way in which we will be able to fulfill our promise and help Unite our fellow Zulu Nation members and all Humans regardless of where they live or what language they speak.

I’ve created a partnership with Mojofiti, an organization dedicated to breaking down language barriers. Using their real-time language translation technology and social network platform, mymojofiti.com, we can now reach out and share any information we find valuable with anyone in any country or language. Artists, musicians, photographers, cultural lovers, students of science, politics, or anyone interested in joining together and promoting Peace can connect and easily share with one another because everything you see will be viewed in your native language.

I invite you and your Friends, Family and others from around the world to sign up at www.mymojofiti.com , find the UZN Group and begin sharing and connecting with one another. Your participation will help Hip Hop continue to lead the way in breaking down barriers and strengthen our foundation of ,Love,Truth,Peace,Freedom,Justice,Health, Awareness, Wealth, and Prosperity.
